On the Crucifix is said the :
Apostles Creed:
Leader:* I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and
Earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead,
and on the 3rd day He rose again from the dead.
All: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the
Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of
the body, and life everlasting, Amen
On the chain between the Crucifix and the first bead we mention the
intention:
For an increase in Faith, Hope and Charity.
On the First bead we say the: Our Father:
Leader: Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom
come. Thy Will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven.
All: Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those, who trespass against us, and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
On the next 3 beads we say a Hail Mary on each one:
Leader: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art
thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
All: Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the
hour of our death. Amen
On the chain right after the 3rd Hail Mary bead, we say the:
Leader: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
All: as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.
Followed by the Fatima Prayer:
Leader: Oh my Jesus,
All: forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, especially
those who have most need of Thy mercy.
Next we mention the First Mystery for that day according to the schedule
below**.
We start out the first decade with the Our Father on the larger separate
beads, followed by 10 Hail Mary's, one each on the following 10 beads.
At the chain at the end of the bead we repeat the Glory be, and the
Fatima prayer.
We repeat this process for the 2nd Mystery, then the 3rd, 4th and
5th.
At the conclusion of the mysteries some or all of the following prayers
are said.
An Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be, for the intentions, safety
and health of our Holy Father.
On the Medal it is commonly said:
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our
hope. To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve, To thee do
we send upon our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us,
and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us oh
Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ.
Then the St. Michael Prayer:
All: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in this day of battle. Be
our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Rebuke
the devil Oh God, we humbly beseech Thee, and do thou Oh Prince of
the Heavenly hosts, by the Power of God, cast into hell, Satan and
all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of
souls.
Optional Prayers:
Leader: Remember Oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it
known, that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help,
or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence
we fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, Our Mother. To you we come,
before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not our petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer us.
Amen
Rosary Prayer
Leader: Let us pray,
All: O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection,
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech
Thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary
of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what thy contain and obtain
what they promise, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
